STREET CHILDREN
The Living Hope Uganda provides education, counseling, family support, and life skills training to children on the streets in Uganda, giving them a chance to reinvent their futures.
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
In Uganda, thousands of children have dropped out of school and are living on the streets. The Living Hope Uganda helps these children restore their relationships with their families and get back in school, providing special education and therapeutic services catered to their unique needs. Children receive care and support during the day when their families are unable to provide supervision. They recover lost years of schooling, heal from the traumas of the streets, and develop healthy living skills.
Activities
Children get a comprehensive education, receive special education services and counseling, and participate in a variety of extracurricular activities that help them develop important life skills.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will serve 50 children, rescuing them from a life on the streets and providing them with the education and support necessary for a healthy, sustainable future.
