SAFE & CLEAN WATER

      The ongoing droughts have left village's dry and over 16000 people with a seriously limited water supply in various parts of Uganda have been affected. Treat this as an emergency and ACT immediately.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

This project will address the serious need for reliable water sources in various parts of Uganda. It will fund the installation of hand pumps, each water pump will provide 240 households with access to a new, stable well. The wells will be constructed 5 km away from each other so that their water can be used by the villagers in various loacl communities.

Activities

This project will construct hand water pumps and at the same time raise local capacities in water management. Water flow pipe will also be constructed to deliver drinking water directly from mountain springs to reservoirs.

Potential Long Term Impact

240 families have access to a safe water source, improves the health of the community, reduces the incidence of water-borne illness among at least 16000 people, women , saves to 4 hours daily that they previously dedicated to gathering water.
