CANDEL MAKING

Project facilitates valuable trade skills training enabling youths , women and young adults to be gainfully employed and self-sufficient. This training, in high demand, empowers and fills a vital gap.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries

Many school drop outs and single mothers have participated in this project to boost their house hold incomes. There is a high demand for the provision of practical and tertiary training services like this that will enable them to be gainfully employed or run their own businesses. Beneficiaries will be provided with assistance in obtaining some of the tools of their trade / helped to start their own business.

Activities

Beneficiaries will be provided vocational training in cadel making and marketing skills to enable them find market for their products. On completion of training, trainees will be provided with a toolkit to help start their own business.

Potential Long Term Impact

Project empowers youths , women and single mothers to move from poverty and unemployment to self-sufficiency. It will contribute to youth and women development in skills for self-reliance and entrepreneurship, creating employment opportunities for women & disadvantaged youths.
