His mother separated from his father and he lived with his mother. His father neglected him because he did not want to pay for school fees and other requirements needed both at school and at home. His mother has other children she is supporting and because of her little income she could not educate all the children, Pastor Elijah (CEO. Living Hope) came in to help Joseph get education.
